Disney doodles: week 2

The little game, #DisneyDoodles  keeps going on! (you can see the first round here)

These were the doodles of the 2nd round:

Special doodle, couples theme:  Anna & Kristoff or Beauty and the Beast, 

and Disney's classic movie was chosen.

Lady won over Cruella de Vil! Definitely we prefer dogs than fur!

The incredibly sensual Esmeralda won the brunettes match, against Pocahontas.

Disney Doodles: week 1

This month I'm getting ready for an important project (I hope I'll be able to tell you about it soon!) and to practice my "Disney skills" I've started a little game on my Instagram and Twitter accounts:

Everyday I'll give you 2 characters and YOU will vote which one you want me to draw for the next day!
Taking part of the game is as easy as following me on Twitter and/or Instagram and vote daily for your favourite character! I'll be waiting for you! ;)

And these have been the doodles of this first week:

I started with a personal favourite, Ariel wearing that lovely pink dress 

(who said pink and red can't go well together?!)

"Guys, I want a castle."

The first winner was Flynn Rider, he defeated Queen Elsa!

Next ones were Nala (The Lion King) and Thumper (Bambi),

and the adorable rabbit won the match!

Last one of the week was Tinkerbell, though Genie (Aladdin) 

was very close to win the match!

Sant Jordi '15

Oh yes!! It's my favourite day of the year again: 23rd April, "Sant Jordi"!

I love this date because in Catalonia we have the tradition in which men give a rose to women, and we give men a book as a present (but nowadays we girls get both things, yay!).
That means today Barcelona (and every city in Catalonia) looks even more beautiful with its streets full of roses and books, it's impossible to stay at home today!

And here's the dragon of St. George's legend, I love the story but I always feel sorry for the dragon, he was just a bit hungry! xDD So I prefer to make it look adorable and give the story a happy ending for everyone.

By the way, I'm sorry I've been posting the same picture for the last 3 years :_D I hope next year I'll finally have time enough to make a new illustration to celebrate this beautiful day! :D

"Harry Potter" fan art

These days I'm building my new website and while updating my portfolio, I found some unpublished works!

This is a "Harry Potter" fan art illustration I made for the fantasy fanzine "Lupus in Fabula", I wanted to draw Harry, Hermione and Ron in a funny way, showing how they go through a lot of problems.
Though the article it was meant to appear in was finally cancelled, I'm happy with the result so I included it in my portfolio anyway :)

And here are a few close ups and details, as soon as I have some
free time I'll make a video with all its process :)

Though Harry goes through a lot of problems, he always finds a solution at the last minute.

I think Hermione would never let her books go :P

And of course Ron wouldn't have any idea to save himself,
he's just falling down helplessly xDD

Disney sketches vol. 1 - The Little Mermaid

Lately I felt like I need to take a step forward to improve my skills, to create better illustrations with fluid movements and expressive characters, more detailed backgrounds, etc.

So I've decided to face new challenges! And the first one is practicing face expressions. To make it more fun, I practice while watching a Disney movie and I draw many expressions I see. It's not that I want to simply copy the screencap, I want to understand the pose, the movement, learn the details of each character and its personality but drawing it in my own style anyway...

That's a lot of things to achieve but I'm having a lot of fun xD

The first movie I've chosen is "The Little Mermaid", because Ariel is very expressive and charming ♥
...Next one will be "Aladdin"! ;)

UPDATE: I felt guilty for not drawing prince Eric, so here he is ♥
(also I couldn't resist to draw Ariel with that funny face xD

"Frozen" Disney princesses fan art

I couldn't finish this Disney Princesses collection without these two lovely sisters... ;)

Since I watched "Frozen" I'm totally obsessed with it! So I had a wonderful time working on this illustration, drawing this beautiful dresses while listening to its soundtrack... (now I know all the lyrics! xDD)

I can't wait to draw Anna and Elsa again, and Kristoff, Olaff, oh and Hans, my dear Hans... ♥

This illustration is bigger than usual (for me),
so here are some close-ups and sketches to see every detail!

I've spent hours and hours drawing all the details of their clothes... and I had A LOT of fun doing it.
I'm really amazed by the costume designs of this movie *o*

Disney Princesses fan arts vol. 5

Here are the last princesses of my Disney fan art collection!

Ariel and Belle were the first princesses I drew for the "Inktober" challenge (in black and white) and now the collection finishes with them in a colorful style :)

That big dress... and a mermaid... too easy to guess!

Ese vestido... y una cola de sirena... ¡demasiado fáciles de adivinar!

I never get tired of it, I love Belle's dress so much... *o*
Nunca me canso del vestido de Bella, es tan bonito... *o*

I really enjoyed drawing Ariel again... I should draw mermaids more often!
Me encantó volver a dibujar a Ariel... ¡Debería dibujar sirenas más a menudo!

Now I've drawn all the princesses but don't worry this isn't finished yet! Now it's time to repeat Ariel and Belle in a colorful style (they were the first ones and I made them just in black & white).

...And with them the collection will be complete ;)

I confess "Brave" was the only movie I hadn't watched before starting drawing this collection but now I'm totally in love with this film and with Merida and the giant Elinor! xD
Reconozco que "Brave" era la única película que no había visto antes de empezar esta colección ¡pero ahora estoy totalmente enamorada de la película  y de Mérida y la gigante Elinor! xD

I hope you guessed this one! My favourite princess and the most beautiful for me: princess Aurora from The Sleeping Beauty ♥

By the way, I've fallen completely in love with her dress while drawing it... *o*

Who are these mysterious girls? One is an asian warrior and the other one is a shoe lover! xD

The 3rd girl of this collection is Mulan! She's so brave and strong, she's definitely one of my favorites!
¡La 3ª chica de la colección es Mulan! Me encanta su carácter tan fuerte, es una de mis favoritas!

And of course the princess that loves expensive shoes is Cinderella!
Her dress is so big I almost needed a bigger paper to draw it... xDD

Disney Princesses fan arts vol. 1

Do you remember a few days ago I started drawing the Disney princesses for the Inktober challenge?
Well, I kept drawing them but I noticed that I put more and more colour in each illustration (they were supposed to be black and white xDD) so I've decided to change their style a little and now I'm going to draw ALL the Disney princesses, no matter if the Inktober month is over :D

And of course we keep playing the mini game "Guess the Disney Princess" on my Facebook page (www.facebook.com/ariArtna), I post an unfinished sketch of a princess and you have to guess which one is it! ;)

¿Recordáis que hace unos días empecé a dibujar a las princesas Disney para el reto Inktober?
He seguido haciéndolas pero me di cuenta de que cada vez las coloreaba más y más (se suponía que debían ser solo a tinta negra xDD) así que he decidido cambiar un poco el estilo de estas ilustraciones y además dibujaré a TODAS las princesas Disney, aunque el mes del Inktober se haya acabado :D

Bien, pues ha pasado un tiempo desde que publiqué los primeros que hice y ¡ahora va la segunda tanda! :D

No son las últimas dedicatorias, ya que aun me faltan unos pocos libros por dedicar y entregar! ¡Prometo hacerlo cuanto antes! >.<u

Ilustración completa de "Ilusionaria 2"

Bueno, pues ahora que ya hemos conseguido aportar algo de ayuda económica y sobretodo mucha mucha ilusión con este libro benéfico a la familia del pequeño Abraham (podéis leer su caso aquí), solo me queda volver a agradeceros todo el apoyo que nos habéis dado y anunciar que Ilusionaria se convertirá en una publicación anual, siguiendo con su espíritu solidario.

Anteriormente ya os enseñé una de las ilustraciones que hice para el libro, y creo que ahora es el momento de mostraros la ilustración "grande" del cuento "El secreto de Izan". Espero que os guste, quise plasmar mucha alegría en ella :)

Ilusionaria no se acaba, ya está en marcha la 3ª edición, con un nuevo elenco de ilustradores y escritores de gran nivel y os animo a todos a seguir este proyecto que espero dure muchos muchos años, podéis uniros a su página de Facebook www.facebook.com/Ilusionaria

Ah, y ¡aún me faltan algunas dedicatorias por hacer y por publicar! :P

Presentación "ILUSIONARIA 2" en Barcelona

Bueno, bueno, pues el día se acerca, ¡ya tenemos aquí la presentación de "Ilusionaria 2"!

La cita será este viernes 13, a las 20h en Fnac La Maquinista (Barcelona).

Durante la presentación no se podrán vender libros, pero antes y después, sí. Así que si alguien todavía no se ha hecho con su ejemplar... ¡Esta es la mejor ocasión, que además estaremos allí varios de los autores e ilustradores para firmaros! Por supuesto todo aquel que ya tenga su ejemplar y le haga ilusión tenerlo firmado lo puede traer y se lo dedicaremos encantados :)

Y aprovechando la ocasión os voy a mostrar el diseño de personajes y una de las ilustraciones que hice para el cuento que yo ilustro, "El secreto de Izan".

Espero que os gusten y... ¡Nos vemos este viernes en la presentación! ;)

¡ILUSIONARIA 2 a la venta!

Hola de nuevo :)

¡El libro solidario "Ilusionaria 2", en el que os recuerdo que yo participo como ilustradora, ya ha salido a la venta y está en plena fase de promoción! (aquí tenéis el post con toda la información).

Hace poco más de dos semanas que se ha publicado y desde entonces no hemos parado, se ha promocionado en muchísimos blogs, diarios e incluso hemos tenido una entrevista en TV3 (la televisión de Catalunya). Por si fuera poco, además tenemos una presentación el dia 13 de Julio en Fnac La Maquinista (Barcelona) pero eso ya os lo recordaré más adelante ;)

Así que estoy muy muy contenta porque el proyecto ha tenido muy buena acogida y estamos recaudando dinero para ayudar a la família del pequeño Abraham. Para quién aun no se lo haya comprado, ¡no lo dudéis más! Una buena causa, talento a montones y todo por muy poquito dinero.

En el blog oficial, ilusionaria2.blogspot.com.es, tenéis el listado de tiendas y si os es más cómodo siempre lo podéis pedir por internet a esta dirección ilusionaria2@gmail.com y os lo envían por correo, ¿más fácil imposible no? ;)

Yo por mi parte, para agradecer a todos mis amigos que han comprado el libro, les he hecho una dedicatoria en el libro a cada uno en forma de dibujo. Así que aquí os pongo las primeras que he hecho y ya he entregado ¡¡De momento son 6 pero tengo por entregar en total unas 17!! XDD
