Hi there! Today I'm showing you a new little illustration I made yesterday, which is very special to me because it's been a long time since I don't paint using a traditional technique.

It all started a few days ago, when I found a little pile of sketchbooks with old doodles and some of them were even unused. I was so excited that I felt an overwhelming desire to draw something and colour it right there on the paper (I used drawing pens and watercolour pencils).

The truth is I made this drawing for a present and that made me put even more enthusiasm, but the best thing is I have the feeling I'll be doing more of this illustrations from now on, it feels great creating them :)

¡Hola de nuevo! Hoy os muestro una pequeña ilustración que hice ayer, la cual es muy especial para mí porque hacía mucho tiempo que no pintaba usando una técnica tradicional.

Todo empezó hace unos días, cuando encontré un pequeño montón de libretas de dibujo que tenía con algunos bocetos viejos e incluso algunas sin estrenar. Me hizo tanta ilusión que sentí un impulso irrefrenable de dibujar algo y colorearlo sobre el mismo papel (usé rotrings y lápices acuarelables).

La verdad es es que este dibujo lo he hecho para un regalo y eso todavía me ha hecho ponerle más ilusión, pero lo mejor de todo es que tengo la sensación de que a partir de ahora haré más ilustraciones de este estilo, ¡me lo paso genial! :)

The Spring Collection: Fauna

And finally... here it is, the last piece of my "Spring Collection"!

It's been a year since I started this personal project and now that it's spring again I publish the last one xD

This is a 3 pieces collection, each one represents a trait of the spring season: "Flora" shows the flowers blooming, "Merryweather" represents the weather that helps plants grow and this one, "Fauna", highlights all the life born in this season, so I wanted her to look warm and protective.

As a curiosity, they're inspired on the three good fairies from "The Sleeping Beauty"
...They look a little bit different right? xDD

Y por fin... ¡Aquí está la última parte de la "Spring Collection"!
Ha pasado un año ya desde que empecé este proyecto personal ¡y ahora que ya es primavera otra vez consigo acabarlo! jaja

Esta es una colección de tres piezas, en la que cada una representa una característica de la estación primaveral: "Flora" simboliza las flores, "Merryweather" simboliza el clima que ayuda a crecer a las plantas y ésta, "Fauna", destaca la vida que nace durante la estación, así que la he hecho cálida y protectora.

Como curiosidad, os confieso que la idea está inspirada en las tres hadas de "La Bella Durmiente"
...Están un poco diferentes, no? XDD

Here's a sneak peek of the illustration I'm working on, it's the 3rd piece of my Spring Collection!
It has a lot of little details and it took me several hours drawing it but now I can say you'll see it finished and coloured very soon :)

Aquí tenéis un adelanto de la ilustración en la que estoy trabajando, es la 3ª de la Spring Collection!
Tiene un montón de detallitos así que me ha llevado bastante tiempo dibujarla pero ahora puedo decir que pronto la veréis acabada y pintada :)

And finally here's a new illustration!
Due to the amount of work I'm having these months, finishing this illustration took me longer than I thought and, as I told you before, it's part of my new portfolio :)

My goal is to work hard to define my own illustration style and also improve my skills (here I've learned how to paint bubbles haha). This time I wanted to transmit a delicate feeling, so I focused on the bubbles' colour scheme and texture, then finally painted the girl with brighter colours, so she's in the spotlight.

Next illustration is already in process, I hope I will have time enough to finish it soon! :D

¡Y por fin tenemos nueva ilustración!
Debido al volumen de trabajo de estos últimos meses, he tardado mucho más de lo normal en acabar esta ilustración que, como os he dicho anteriormente, forma parte de mi nuevo portfolio :)

Mi objetivo es ser fiel a mi estilo (para así lograr definirlo más) pero a la vez mejorar (el reto aquí ha sido aprender a pintar burbujitas XDD). Esta vez quería que la sensación que transmitiera fuera delicada, asi que me he centrado en los colores y la textura de las burbujas, para finalmente destacar a la chica con tonos más llamativos.

La siguiente ilustración ya está en proceso, ¡espero no tener imprevistos y acabarla pronto! :D

I'm very busy again working on commissions and also on my new portfolio so it's a good moment to post some unpublished illustrations ;)

This illustration was one the first ones I did for "Living the City", as a colour and style test to define what the brand wanted to transmit.

¡Hola de nuevo!

Estos días vuelvo a estar hasta arriba de trabajo entre encargos y haciendo el nuevo portfolio, así que es un buen momento para mostraros algunas ilustraciones que tenía sin publicar :)

Esta ilustración fue de las primeras que hice para "Living the City", como prueba de estilo y color para definir la imagen que se quería transmitir.

This time I've made an illustration about the fantasy novel series "La Alianza de los Tres Soles", I still have to learn a lot about this kind of paintings but I hope you like it :)

¡Finalmente hoy se ha publicado el nuevo número de la revista online "Lupus in Fabula"!
Esta vez he participado con una ilustración de la saga literaria "La Alianza de los Tres Soles", aún tengo que aprender mucho sobre género fantástico pero espero que os guste el resultado :)
